Members of the Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago participate in the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade on State Street, Nov. 28. More than 20 marching bands, 13 festive floats, 16 staged theatrical performances, 11 high stepping equestrian groups, 18 cultural groups, inflatables, celebrity guests, and thousands of dedicated volunteers, participated in the annual parade, led by Teddy the Turkey, the parade's official mascot. PCS participants worked the crowd and the spectators loved Punjabi Bhangra music and danced along with dhol and Mona Bhalla's live singing. The theme of the PCS float and its contingent was an Indian Maharaja's wedding procession. Mona and Manjeet Bhalla played the bride and the groom in their wedding outfits.
