Akshay Kumar is the only Bollywood actor to earn a spot in this year’s Forbes’ list of the ‘Top 100 Highest-paid Entertainers.” Ranked at the 33rd spot, Forbes said, Kumar, 51, is “Bollywood’s top-earning star,” who pulls in at least $5 million and up to $10 million per film.

The magazine says, the actor “also mints millions for endorsement deals with over 20 brands, including Tata and Harpic bathroom cleaner.”

Kumar, who is gearing up for Jagan Shakti's “Mission Mangal,” which is slated for an Aug. 15 release, has other films in the pipeline as well. There’s Farhad Samji's “Housefull 4, “Raj Mehta's “Good News,” Raghava Lawrence's “Laxmmi Bomb” and Rohit Shetty's “Sooryavanshi.”

Forbes’ annual list, led by singer Taylor Swift, this year’s list, up 7 percent from last year, lists the world’s 100 highest-paid superstars who together clocked $6.3 billion in pretax earnings over the past 12 months.

“mission Mangal,” which revolves around India's first interplanetary mission - the Mars Orbiter Mission, stars Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles.

In a recent tweet, Kumar revealed that he took up Mission Mangal "specially for my daughter and children her age to familiarise (sic) them with the incredible true story of India’s mission to Mars". He hoped that the film "will inspire as much as it will entertain."
