M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Servant’ to stream on Apple TV Nov. 28

M. Night Shyamalan is bringing “Servant,” a 10-episode psychological thriller to Apple TV. The Indian-American filmmaker is the executive producer and director of the new Apple original starring Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Rupert Grint and Nell Tiger Free.

“Servant” had its global red carpet premiere on Nov. 20 at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York. It follows a Philadelphia couple Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebell,) who are in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home. The series is created by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominated executive producer and writer Tony Basgallop.

More than anything it’s a couple that’s refusing to accept something that happened,” Shyamalan says of the “Servant” premise. “They’re using their wealth and status as a shield. … It’s fractured underneath it all and they’re just barely holding together.”

Beginning Nov. 28, the first three episodes of “Servant” will be available to watch exclusively on Apple TV+ in over 100 countries and regions around the world. New episodes will continue to roll out weekly, every Friday.
