Priyanka Bose will be seen in a recurring role in series adaptation of the fantasy novel franchise “The Wheel of Time.”
Bose will be seen as Alanna Mosyani, a member of the organization of powerful women the Aes Sedai, renowned for her kindness and her temper.
“The Wheel of Time” is set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists, but only women can use it. The story follows Moiraine, a member of the shadowy and influential all-female organization called the ‘Aes Sedai’ as she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women.
Bose is also seen in an episode of “Little America,” Kumail Nanjiani’s new anthology series on Apple TV Plus.
Best known for her performances in “Gangor,” a film by Italo Spinelli, based on political activist Mahashweta Devi's “Breast Stories,” Bose debuted with the stage production “Nirbhaya” at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2013.
She made her international debut with Oscar-nominated film “Lion,” where she played Dev Patel’s biological mother, Kamla Munshi, in the Garth Davis-directed film. She was also seen in “Mortal,” along with Nat Wolff, where she played Hathaway, a stern yet warm U.S. Embassy officer.
