Team ‘Chola’ slays Venice Film Festival red carpet in traditional attire

Filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, second from left, and his team, walk the red carpet prior to the world premiere of his Malayalam film “Chola,” at the 76th Venice Film Festival at Sala Grande on in Venice, Italy, Sept. 2. Sasidharan and actors Joju George, Nimisha Sajayan and Akhil Viswanath wore traditional attires. While George and Viswanath wore the mundu and shirt, Sajayan chose an off-white kasavu saree teamed with power sleeve blouse. “Chola” and “Bombay Rose,” were the only two Indian films selected for the festival this year.
